Below is a brief overview about starting a Guitar League Chapter in your community.
We have much more detail if you decide to proceed.
Start a chapter in your community! You'll run your chapter like your own small business. You'll generate revenue through memberships, local sponsorships and a variety of other sources. Expenses are minimal. In short, all you need to get started is to find a venue and a presenter, then spread the word! And we help with all of it. Monthly costs for a venue range from zero (church halls) to a couple hundred dollars per month, depending on your venue choice. We also ask that you pay your main presenter (at least $50. Some pay more.) Are there other expenses and considerations? Of course, but they vary based on your personal preference of how you want to run your chapter. And we've got details on all those elements.
How does Guitar League USA make money? We make money by taking a modest percentage of just your membership sales (10%) which covers overhead expenses, such as website costs, insurances, taxes and national marketing. You keep 90% of membership sales and 100% of all other revenues (local sponsorships, merchandise sales, raffles, donations, etc.). We work with you to set your membership price so you achieve your revenue goals (it varies from $75 to $125 per year, depending on your market). With our percentage-of-sales model, we succeed only when you succeed, so we're quite motivated to help you do so. Honestly, our goal is to establish at least two GL Chapters in every state. And since GL memberships are universal, members can visit any chapter, which will foster a true national guitar community.
We have a suite of documents to fully explain the startup and operation process, including costs, revenue stream, how to find presenters, marketing strategies, team building, etc. Contact us and we'll send along some startup overview documents. Zero hassle. Zero cost.
